Many lovely golfers' wives joined us to be pampered - manis, pedis, makeovers - complete with Mimosas, brunch, shopping, more Mimosas, chocolate... while the hubbies played golf in the sweltering heat. (I don't get it.)
And they made me play too. While I worked I was pampered with a paraffin treatment on my hands and a gorgeous flower arrangement as I modeled fabulous necklaces... How dare they? Plus, I had to discuss my finishes while trying no to talk with my mouth full of delectable, moist, berry scone while washing it all down with freshly brewed java. Then a brownie.
My display was next to jewelry artist Judith Altman of Judith Altman Designs fame. During a very brief quiet moment, we had a joint creative AHA moment and decided to do an impromptu photo shoot using my samples and her jewelry - plus existing light and lots of artistic enthusiasm!
Scroll and drool, scroll and drool.
It was grueling work. Then I came home and hubby prepared dinner and served it to me with wine and a smile.
I just don't know how I can stay in this business...

It was great fun being with you at Sedgefield and I am loving the photos from our impromptu photo shoot. Your finishes with the stones, all reflecting light and color - well, just fab. Great blog post!
